or a BESS differ depending on the geographical market. The newly implement
ed EU Battery Regulation (Regulation 2023/1542) sets out specific safety r
equirements for Stationary battery Energy Storage systems in addition to t
he sustainability requirements. For the US market there are other requirem
ents from the National codes on the BESS such as testing and listing by an
NRTL. This course will go through the legislation and regulatory requirem
ents for BESS when put on the European and the North American market. Duri
